Yeah, my Dell stand-alone LCD monitor died on friday -- the left half of the screen just wouldn't work. Half-black screen.
Called Dell. They're sending me a new one by Wednesday, and all I have to do is send the old one back.
The Dell monitor was pricey, but the 3 year warranty (versus a 1 year warranty with most other manufacturer's, if you're lucky) was worth it -- and the ease of getting a replacement was definately worth it. I would recommend Dell to anyone.
