Geez! I'm Dangerous!

Went to throw away a can lid. Tossed it in the trash. And then, decided at that moment, to pack down the trash a little better. I had some paper towels that I had used to clean the windows in my hand and decided to use those in lieu of a glove to shove it down. I shove the trash down and feel pain in my left hand, ring finger. I had cut it on the can lid. It cut into the finger, the cuticle and the fingernail. (But, it didn't go completely through the fingernail.) I let out a bunch of expletives and then kick myself for being such a klutz. I look down to see how bad it is and notice that the whole fingertip was swimming in blood. I washed it out with hot water and soap and then put some Tincture of Iodine on it. It seems fine now.

I've done that before. Good thing it wasn't serious. I've also cut my fingers on knives in the dish water. The most messed up thing I ever did like that was one time I was draining a can of tuna. I had pressed in with my fingers on the lid, to drain off the water, and my finger actually went under the lid and into the tuna and the lid started to press into my finger...cutting into it. Talk about pannic setting in. I figured out to push down the other side of the lid to lift up the end that was holding my finger thankfully cause I could have cut right down to the bone if I wasn't thinking. That hurt too.
