Beef Stew

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds Chuck Beef, in 3/4 inch cubes
- 1/4 cup flour
- salt, pepper
- 2 tbs butter
- medium onion, course chopped
- 3-4 stalks of celery, sliced
- 10 ounces of beer (drink the rest of the bottle)
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 4 medium carrots in 3/4 inch chucks
- 4 medum potatoes in 3/4 inch cubes
- 1 tbs corn starch
Directions:
- mix flour, salt and pepper
- coat beef with the flour
- in a hot 10 inch iron skillet, brown beef in butter
- add the onions and celery, beer. Simmer covered for 3
hours, stir about every 20 minutes
start:
3 hours later
- add carrots and water, cook about 15 minutes more
- add potatoes, cook about 30 minutes more
- mix the corn starch with a little water, add stirring, a couple of
minutes.
