1986 Suzuki Savage: Engine and bike completely rebuilt from the frame up and painted with red/blue camelion paint. Cylinder bored out 3mm (.120") oversize and Wiseco piston kit installed. All new crankcase bearings installed, head completely rebuilt along with new timing chain, valve guides, valves, rocker arms and shafts etc. Completely drilled out and modified stock air box to receive 3.5"dia.x 5"long cylindrical K&N filter directly attached to existing rubber sleeve from the carb, installed new R&D tuneable spiral free-flow muffler, completely rebuilt carb - new diaphragm, needle jet, jet needle etc., went up two sizes for the pilot jet and pilot air jet- went up six sizes for the main jet. Engine has yet to be broken in properly for the first 1000 miles (managed to get 120 miles on it before the snow flew). Runs beautiful, but I still have one more area to deal with, the clutch, the increased power and torque is such that the stock clutch cannot handle it, I am getting slippage, especially at higher rpm's. I am looking into a Barnett clutch kit which incorporates 20% heavier springs and kevlar friction plates, meanwhile I have added .0625" thk. washers in front of a new set of OEM springs on my existing clutch to get more pressure, Won't know how this works until the snow is gone!
