Red Wine CheeseBurger

Serve with fries or corn-on-the-cob




Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups red wine
  • 1 shallot, minced (or red/sweet onion)
  • 1 tbl brown sugar
  • 3 tbl butter

  • 15 oz ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp 4S salt
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 4 slices swiss cheese

  • 3 Brioche hamburger buns
  • 2 fat slices sweet onion
  • 3 fat slices beefsteak tomato
  • some red leaf lettuce
  • some yellow mustard, ketchup, mayo
Directions:
  • saute shallot/onion in 1 tbl butter, 2 minutes
  • add wine, simmer for 20-30 minutes to reduce in half
  • add sugar, 2 tbl butter, mix, set to side

  • mix beef, salt, pepper, Worcestershire, and half of the above wine sauce
  • divide to 3 balls, make into patties.

  • patties onto the BBQ, cook 3 minutes, add wine sauce while cooking
  • flip, cook 2 minutes, last of the wine sauce on top
  • add cheese, cook 1 minute, back to the kitchen

  • plate, lower hald of bun, patty on top, tomato onion lettuce, as wamted
  • add mayo ketchup mustard, as wamted
  • serve with fries or corn on the cob

  • DONE serve with a beer
