It started pouring here about 1:00pm. I needed to cross the street to move the car back. (We have street sweeping on our side of the street every Monday and all the cars have to be moved). I look outside and it's pouring. I decided to wait until it died down before I went to the car. No chance. At 2:00pm, it's still pouring. I left early to go pick everyone up from school. I have to drive 12 miles, because the kids are in a Magnet program and attend school in another town. The streets were flooded. I would say that 99.9% of the drivers out their behaved. No one was driving too fast, considering the conditions. Low visibility, flooded streets, etc. Even crawling along at 15-20 miles per hour, I could feel my little car trying to hydroplane a couple times, the streets were that wet.
