Carnival of Souls (1962)

I saw this movie on our local PBS station one Halloween night. It was on at midnight and I watched it with all the lights off. It scared me half to death. I rated it as one of my favorite horror films. I had grown up with all the Halloween, Friday the 13th and Freddy Krueger type slasher films. But, this one, from 1962, I loved. Turns out it is somewhat of a cult classic. And, they finally got around to releasing it on DVD. My oldest daughter, Helena, spied it at a store and bought me the DVD for Christmas. I finally got around to watching it today, along with my dad and my sister. My dad loves this movie too. One of the reasons is because he grew up in Utah and used to go to the Salt Air amusement park, whose ruins figured prominently in the plot. If you ever get a chance to see this one, watch it. (With the lights on!)
