When I give people directions to our house, I like to give them landmarks. One of the best ones is on the southwest corner of our street. It was a garish pink house that stood out pretty well. Well, we may have lost that landmark. That house caught fire last night. I didn't know it until this afternoon when I turned onto our street. The first thing I noticed we the huge holes that had been chopped into the roof by the fire department. Then, I noticed that every window was broken, with the tell tale marks of smoke left on the walls above. From what I could see, the house seems to be a total loss. I don't know if anyone was in it at the time. If so, I hope they got out okay.
