Remember savekaryn.com?

It turns out that she was finally able to pay off her debt. I was checking out the CNN page and noticed a headline, Web Panhandler Pays Off $20,000 Debt. If you aren't familiar with the story, she landed a high paying job, in New York City, during the economic boom. While there, she went on a spending spree and ran up credit card debt. Only to have it all come crashing down around her after she lost her job and ended up taking one that paid about half. She was looking at a $20,000 debt that would take her about 40 years, according to her, to pay off. So, she started her website.... Anyway, it looks like she made about $13,300 in donations, along with $7,000 she made selling her high-priced items on Ebay, so she managed to pay it off sooner. I wonder if she's learned a lesson? *sigh*

In a weird way, I see why she "earned " her solution by having the audacity to do what she did, She was honest, didn't make up some sob story, and people willingly gave her the dough. The folks that gave her money are fools that would have parted with their money somehow anyway, so she merely rounded up the fools and made good use of the internet. I don't say that I would ever do what she did, but I kind of admire her for having the cajones to pull the thing off.

Hey if some asshole can make millions inventing the pet rock, then she's got a bright future ha ha ha .

You know, you're right! I wonder if she anticipated all the attention her site got? And then, the backlash?

i think shes a loser, thats worse than people begging on the street, kayrn didn't even have the decency to ask people to their face. But as long as all you kind hearted people are willing to donate, people will continue to beg!!!!
