Argh! We had our Thanksgiving meal today. Helena's friend Shannon came over. We had a 21 pound turkey, home made mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls and cranberry jelly. I also, for the first time, made a home made gravy. Not bad for my first time. Was a little thin. I need one of those separator spoons for skimming the fat off the top of the juice for next year. Oh, and Helena, my oldest daughter, made the pumpkin pies. The pumpkin came from some she grew. She sliced up the pumpkin, skinned it and boiled the pieces until she could mash them into much with a potato masher. Anyway, as usual, I ate way too much. I look like I'm about 8 months pregnant. But, everything was so delicious!!! Now, the leftovers look disgusting to me. Yuck! You would think I would learn, but I do this every year.
Posted by Valkyre at November 30, 2002 10:22 PMjust incase, this might lead to a tummy ache. be careful on what you eat! i had eaten somethings like you did, much more. did not throw up, but did get the worst tummy ache of my life. It hurt very badly and has sudden urges of pain once in a while. If that happens to you, or anyone, lie them down on a bed, and make them hold their little tummies. Then casually rub it, with their shirt off, showing bare skin. The person with the tummy ache should not rub at all. Rub at the belly, where the chub is all at. Squeeze a little. It will hurt quite a bit for the person who has a tummy ache, but in the end it is for the best. For the person with the tummy ache, if there is no one there to help you, walk and clench your tummy tightly. As you walk, once in a while hit ur tummy like you would with bongo drums, but lightly. Breathe in and out very calmly. Lean your tummy on a wall, or lie on the ground. Not on a bed, it is too soft. You could also take something quite heavy, and lie down and put that heavy object on the part of your tummy that sticks out. This will work.
