Another tradition, carried over from my Mom.... One January 1st, we take the Christmas decorations down. Usually, I try to watch the Rose Parade and then take down the decorations. Today, I've got a late start. I've managed to take about 5 ornaments off the tree. I tried to watch the parade, but, there were so many entries. Since there were so many floats, the parade had to move pretty quickly down Colorado Boulevard and it made it hardly worth watching. I swear the parade was moving faster than the freeways at rush hour here. Even the commentators on the local station here, (KTLA channel 5), kept making comments about how fast the darn thing was moving. Right now, I'm watching an Addam's Family marathon on another local station. I'll probably be taking more stuff down as I have that going as background noise.....
