Augh!!!!! I am trying to balance the checkbook tonight. And, I am failing miserably.... I rarely make a mistake, seriously! But when I do, I usually make 2 mistakes. Which will make the error harder to detect. If I make one entry error, I can usually subtract from the total and see where I wrote in something wrong, etc. But, no.... I have to make two. Which means going back through all my entries to find the mistake. Anyway, tonight, I made not two.... Not three..... But, four!!! Count 'em!!! Four mistakes.... I have decided to walk away for a bit. I'm posting here. Then, I will go back and see if everything balances out. (I know, I know.... There are computer programs that take care of this..... But, for some odd reason, I like doing it the old fashioned way.) I found that I had overlooked two withdrawals I had made. (Should have posted immediately!) And, I overlooked a check that hadn't cleared yet. The two withdrawals totalled $40.00 and the check was for an even $37.00 which made a -$3.00 that was frustrating me.... Augh!!!!!
