I Hope He's Okay

If you remember back in March, I posted an entry where I mentioned we took Cory to the vet to have him neutered. While he was under anesthesia, the vet cleaned his teeth. When we came to take him home, the vet mentioned that there was a lumpy mass on his gum that he wanted us to keep an eye on. At that time, it was swollen and red. He said that there were two possibilities, it could have something to do with his tooth. Maybe the tooth there is ingrown. Or, if Cory was an older dog, the vet would be worried about maybe it being cancerous. That's one word I hate hearing. Anyway, we've been keeping an eye on it. It turned a pink color and seemed to be healing. But then, last night, Teresa calls me into the room to look at it. She said it looked "yellow" to her. When I went to look at it, it was not yellow, but red. So now, I just called the vet to make an appointment. Cory goes in tomorrow to have it checked out. I'm hoping that it's really nothing, and I am totally blowing all this out of proportion. I will post tomorrow what the vet said.
