While she did many other movies, Janet Leigh will probably be most remembered as Marion Crane, the woman who was stabbed to death in the shower at the Bates Motel in the movie Psycho. When I saw that movie while I lived at home, I wasn't too bothered by the shower scene. Let me rephrase that, I wasn't afraid to take a shower. The movie did scare me! But, our shower had glass doors!!! However, when I moved in with Mike, after we got married, his shower has just a plain old curtain. And, I was scared to death! Seriously! Here I am, 22 years old, and terrified to take a shower. I was home alone at the time, which didn't help. I actually kept the curtain pulled back and splashed water all over the floor. There was no way I was going to have the curtain shut and have Norman Bates come staggering in, wearing his mother's dress and stabbing me to death! I'm not as terrified now. But, this is one of the few movies that have scared me that much.
