Thank you, Kind Stranger

It was a simple gesture, but it made my day.... I was having a typical Monday. It started shitty enough, and went downhill from there. And, of course, I was late picking Teresa up from school. I headed out of the driveway from work. Up ahead, at the signal, I needed to make a right turn. The light was red. And, about 6 cars were waiting in the right lane. There was enough room to get by them, however, on the corner is a used car lot. And, they like to put a couple of their cars out on the street, parked at the curb. They had plopped a mini-van onto the street near where I needed to get in to make my right turn. There wasn't enough of a gap between the mini-van and the last car in the line waiting for the light to change. Now, I could have been a bully and got right up on the bumper of that last car and intimidated her, to get her to pull forward. But, even though I was in a hurry, I wouldn't do that. So, I sat back with my right turn signal going. I saw her look up in her rearview mirror, and then, she pulled forward several inches. Enough for me to squeeze between her and the mini-van, so I could make my right turn. That little maneuver really made my day. As I pulled past her, I tried to give her a wave and mouth, "Thank you!" But, she was looking straight ahead. Anyway, I know the chances of her reading this is slim to none, but "Thank you!" kind stranger. Your little gesture brightened up my day.
