For the past week, the news has been hyping the last flight of the Endeavour as she rides piggyback to LAX. From there, she will be towed down the streets to her final resting place. The California Science Center To be honest, I was getting kind of sick of the hype. I didn't want to go to any of the viewing spots. But as today dawned and they started talking about it, I did hope to get a picture of her landing at LAX, which is north of us. So, she flew over several different landmarks. The Queen Mary, Griffith Observatory, Aquarium of the Pacific, California Adventure, the Boeing Plant in Long Beach, etc. Then the news announced that she was approaching LAX. We could hear the plane coming from the east, suddenly she appeared! She flew over LAX and circled about. Then, she flew right by us! I got this great shot from our backyard! I was so glad to be a part of history. It was amazing. I started to cry. It was so beautiful.
