I'm beginning to wonder if a larger percentage of people are doing their shopping either via the internet or catalogue. I took Teresa shopping this evening at Del Amo Fashion Square in Torrance. This used to be the biggest mall in America, until they built the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. I figured this close to Christmas, less than a week away, and as everyone was getting off of work, I would have to be insane to even think of going over there. But, like the other day at the south Bay, Galleria, I encountered half empty parking lots. There was more than the usual number of people inside the mall, but it was nothing compared to past years. The only two stores, that were really crowded, were both candy stores. See's Candies and The Sweet Factory. I guess I shouldn't complain since I usually hate shopping due to the crowds. But, it just really seems strange to encounter this.
