The Sound of Music

I have to admit, I have a soft spot for the old musicals. Especially the Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals. The Sound of Music is on broadcast TV right now. Of course, I'm watching it. I'm typing this during the commercial break. This is my number one favorite, followed closely by Carousel. Non Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals I like are My Fair Lady, based on Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw. The screenplay was done by Alan Jay Lerner. I also like Singing in the Rain.

Oh I love The Sound Of Music. I watched it Sunday night. well right up until about 35 minutes before the end when I fell asleep :o
