Today was Teresa's first day back at school. She is now going into the 10th grade. Thankfully, the day went off without a hitch. I pictured myself slamming the "snooze" button and trying to squeeze out some extra minutes of sleep. But, the alarm went off and I woke right up. Traffic wasn't too bad. But, Los Angeles Unified School DIstrict doesn't start school until the Tuesday after Labor Day. Then, the roads will be clogged with a lot more cars and school buses. The only real traffic problem I encountered, were at Teresa's school. The parents of the new students hadn't figured out the system yet. They'll get it down in about a week and things will flow smoothly. I got to work earlier than I have been over the summer. After I dropped Teresa off, at 7:20, I went straight to work and got there about 7:30. No goofing off, I went right to work and managed to get out in time so I could pick up Teresa right when she got out of school. Here's hoping the rest of the school year runs this smoothly.
